Event – Visit to Anton Corbijn exhibition

Visit to Anton Corbijn exhibition at the “Fotomuseum Den Haag (GEM)” Sunday, 26-04-2015

Introduction

From Anton Corbijn his archives, more than 300 shots of bands and singers have been selected for this exhibition at the GEM, including shots from Nirvana, U2, REM and the Rolling Stones. Many of the photographs are on show to the public for the very first time.   Anton Corbijn combines the traditional portrait photography and documentary photography in his work. His strength is to record people in their own physical surroundings and social circumstances. As an example he has developed a long lasting partnership with many singers and bands. His working relationship with U2 and Depeche Mode (DM) goes right back to the early eighties. He has produced many pictures, album covers and video clips over the years for many bands (see link below for more info).
