Brielle October 7, 2017

On Saturday, the 7th of October 2017, a group of IMAGES members visited the old city of Brielle and the industrial area’s at the Maasvlakte. Transportation was organized through car sharing and we departed The Hague around 14:00 in the afternoon. First stop was Brielle, which is  a very old fortified town and well-known from the “Eighty Years” War between the Netherlands and Spain, Strolling the old narrow streets, visiting the walls around the city and climbing the 60- meter high church tower took us up to 17:00 for some drinks and food in a pleasant pub where the owner told us all about the history of Brielle. Subsequently we drove to the Maasvlakte to take some night photographs of the various industrial complexes and huge container ships. Great outing that was certainly worth a Saturday afternoon and evening.
