We had a great evening with André Bergmans. Very inspiring and we will follow up on this in Octobre when we will experiment with 3×3 displays.
We welcome you to the first club night of the new season at Koorenhuis Prinsegracht 27, near to Grote Markt, from 19:30hrs onwards. The programme starts at 20:00. André Bergmans is the guest speaker.
‘My name is André Bergmans (1953, Geldrop, – The Netherlands) and I was an amateur photographer in the early seventies and only eight year ago I picked up photography again. I recently retired but had a professional life as an ICT professional and for more than 30 years I worked for Canon both in the Netherlands, Benelux and the UK. In my photography I am gradually moving away from the single shot approach and more and more I prefer to work on a project for a longer period. There is a preference for photography that is not straightforward but creates a slightly new world by selecting, adding and deleting, combining and altering. I am not accepting any assignments nor do I sell my work. But I try to show my work be it in a competition, be it on a website, in a gallery or museum, in a workplace or office or any other place that is suitable for my photograph.’
