On Sunday the 18th of Feb, around 17:00 or 18:00 (exact timing and program will follow), we will be visiting the Old Leiden Observatory. The visit includes a 45-60 minutes awareness session on astrophotography followed by a guided tour through the building with some explanation on the history of Leiden astronomy. If the sky is clear the domes will be open to view through the historical telescopes. The entire program will last approx. 2 hrs.
To further arrange the visit, we need to have an idea of the number of visitors. If you want to join, please use the contact form before Sunday 28 Jan midnight or e-mail Lex directly. Old Leiden Observatory is located at the Witte Singel in Leiden. Walking distance from the train station is approx. 15 minutes. A public parking is available at the Haagweg 8 in Leiden and is only 10 minutes walking distance.
